Colours of Britain Gallery

Kingfishers are a well-photographed bird, yet until now the nocturnal side of their life had not been recorded. So when I discovered a kingfisher on his night-time roost, I took every opportunity to photograph and study him.  When it snowed at 2am, I was there, in the dark, covered in snow and standing knee-deep in the river! Enjoy these unique images of one of our best-loved birds.

Continuing the wetland theme I am currently working with the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT), developing their resources for schools, leading a host of photography courses and part of the ’star-studded’ Judging Panel for the WWT Photography Competition

Wildlife Photography Courses

Whether you just want to understand your camera better and love wildlife, or are a serious amateur looking to take your photography further, I offer tailored tuition on a variety of courses. Your photography day can be as part of a group or as an individual - I design the content to suit you. Most courses are held in Somerset,Gloucestershire or London, but other locations are possible.

Group days are 6 hours and are designed for a maximum of six people. So if you like the idea of spending an enjoyable day learning how to take great shots of wildlife, or perhaps want an indepth day photographing one subject such as water voles or kingfishers please e-mail me for details.
