Wild London GalleryWhile my wildlife colleagues jet off to far-flung places I have been busy exploring the wild side of London. Photographing in a remarkable range of locations across the capital, from Richmond and Regent’s Park to more unexpected sites such as The Tate Modern, 02 Arena and Lewisham Crematorium – I have also had privileged access to the wilder parts of Heathrow Airport and 10 Downing St. In contrast to the normal vision of London, I want to showcase the fascinating diversity of wildlife to be found within the city boundaries. My latest forays have been along the Thames looking for Seals and the London Wetland Centre in Barnes. I’ve been to the latter quite a few times recently and had some fantastic views of basking common lizards, wasps attacking dragonflies and my favourite – a yawning coot! Sponsor my ‘Wild London’ book into your local school for just £10 Passionate about enthusing young people about wildlife and exploring the outdoors, I’m delighted that many schools use my ‘Wild London’ book in their lessons. To support this further, I’ve set up a sponsorship scheme to get it into as many schools as possible. For just £10 I’ll send one to your local or nominated school with an inscription from you.
